RECYCLING WASTE MATERIALS MARKS THE NEXT CHAPTER IN INNOVATION

Industry is often blocked when it comes to hard to process materials with no obvious recycling path or process.

Field Assisted Sintering Technology (FAST) offers a new recycling route, enabling many new waste material categories to have a second life.
The principle is simple:
1 - Many types of material waste can be transformed into a powder.
2 - The powder can be densified by Field Assisted Sintering Technology (FAST) process into a bulk material or a geometrical form.
3 - The densified material/part can then be finished into a new object.

Thanks to its short sintering time, the Field Assisted Sintering Technology, Spark Plasma Sintering (FAST/SPS) process can densify high performance technical ceramic matrix (alumina, zirconia, composites, spinels, …) without altering the sensitive nuances of the color pigments used. It is now possible to produce ceramics with unprecedented colors: reds, oranges, pinks or purples.

Norimat also offers to combine and assemble several material nuances and colors inside a single piece. Precise control of the process parameters allows the combination of ceramics and metals whilst preserving the benefits of each material.
