The very high densification achieved with FAST/SPS also facilitates the development of transparent ceramics.


Thanks to its short sintering time, the Spark Plasma Sintering process can densify very high-strength ceramics (silicon carbide, silicon nitride, alumina, zirconia, composites, spinel, etc.). It offers solutions for reducing the weight of components, while increasing their mechanical strength, impact resistance and stability to temperature variations. The process is also highly effective in producing multi-layer materials that can be used for thermal barrier applications.
